The mill is located on the south-west side of Koufonisi. During summertime the high-speed fairy reaches 2 - 3 times a week the island from Piraeus in about 5 hours. From Naxos a fairy named "Skopelitis" leaves daily for the island and reaches it in 2,5 hours.

The distance from the harbor is approximately 1 km. The mill is built 30 m from the sea and about 300 m from the borders of the settlement.
